I have made a compilation of important videos from "The Plastic Years" section of the book. Please go through the links that we didn't get through in class and make comments. In addition look at 2 full length shows (I Love Lucy or Kukla, Fran & Ollie to give two examples) and explain how these shows relate to their current counterparts. as watching the videos, i realized the variety of TV shows hasn't changed that significantly. despite the quality and people's way of speaking, the major contents are the same, to entertainment and inform the audience. It is really interesting that the structure of the TV show 40years ago was so solid that it hadnt changed.
ReplyDeleteso I watched a bunch of these links, and I'm not exactly sure what your question about them was... I thought it was funny when Ike put on his glasses to read his speech... I love Lucy is way slower than anything now adays...
